As discussed on Kotaku, Steam Deck is a perfectly usable Linux desktop computing device. While driver support is not exactly the same as a normal computer, you can install other operating systems, including Windows. The only USB-C port can be a bit limiting, so hubs and docks will be your best friends. A surprising number of common applications run flawlessly on Linux, so you’d be surprised how much you can get with SteamOS alone.
