In April, Emperor Leisure had introduced that the Grand Emperor Resort, in downtown Macau, was to stop gaming operations on June 26. The on line casino was being run till that date below a service settlement with on line casino operator SJM Holdings Ltd. The on line casino agency took over working of the on line casino since June 27.

Emperor Leisure operates a second resort in Macau, referred to as Inn Resort, however that property doesn’t have gaming amenities. The group can be engaged in resort operations and the lease of serviced residences in Hong Kong.

The corporate mentioned its income for the six months to September 30 stood at HKD84.2 million, up 14.3 p.c from the prior-year interval. Gaming income for the interval fell by 83.7 p.c, to HKD24.4 million, because the agency solely ran the on line casino on the Grand Emperor till late June.

Emperor Leisure mentioned the service settlement with SJM Holdings was “merely an association” for the group to offer the “area and the providers” to the on line casino agency “in return for the utility charge and resort service charge earnings”.

The agency added that the association was the “greatest enterprise alternative for the corporate within the present state of affairs, because the utilization of the gaming space within the Grand Emperor Resort is restricted by the Macau authorities.”
