PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Homelessness is now a public well being emergency in Pittsburgh.
Metropolis Council greenlighted laws asking that the mayor, the town housing authority and different departments discover long- and short-term options to the continued downside.
Council requested for the proposals to be submitted inside two weeks.
It comes after the town opened the Second Avenues Commons and tore down two encampments.
Information from the Division of Human Providers discovered that there have been 880 individuals experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County final winter.
