The Las Vegas Raiders lead the Denver Broncos 19-16 at halftime of their AFC West matchup. The game was tied 10-10 at one point, after which each team scored a touchdown in the final four minutes of the half — and they all missed the ensuing extra points. The Raiders then engineered a last-second field goal to take the lead.
Vegas’ touchdown was returned by a 68-yard fumble by Amick Robertson, who picked up the ball on the ground after Melvin Gordon stumbled in his first of the game. Denver’s touchdown came from Jerry Jeudy, Russell Wilson on a nice seam ball shortly after finding Kendall Hinton Jerry Jeudy linked up to fight blow-off reports.
The team’s earlier scoring was recorded by Josh Jacobs (12 carries for 58 yards, 5 catches for 31 yards) and Courtland Sutton (4 catches, 34 yards). The highly anticipated matchup between Davante Adams and Patrick Surtain II saw each player play a few games while lining up opposite each other. The Raiders’ Mike Hollins also came close for a touchdown, but his foot went out of bounds.
Can the Raiders get their first win of the season, or will the Broncos make a comeback in the second half? We’ll find out soon. In the meantime, stay tuned for the rest of the afternoon on our live blog as we update you with stats, scores and highlights.
